UCL Global Industrial Technology Cooperation Centre (UCL GITCC)

Professor Jeom-Kee Paik FREng has been appointed Director of the UCL Global Industrial Technology Cooperation Centre (UCL GITCC, ucl.ac.uk/enterprise/gitcc). The UCL GITCC is the UK’s first Global Industrial Technology Cooperation Centre, funded by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea.

The Centre is dedicated to advancing collaborative R&D with Korean partners, with the mission of accelerating next-generation sustainable mobility across land, sea, air and space. In doing so, it fosters technology transfer, supports intellectual property development, and promotes international industrial investment.

Strathclyde Professor Wins Prestigious Naval Engineering Medal

Professor Atilla Incecik of the University of Strathclyde has been awarded the David W. Taylor Medal by the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) in the United States, recognising his outstanding achievements in naval architecture and marine engineering.

Professor Jeom Kee Paik was elected as a Fellow of Industry Academy of the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA).
